Google Dictionary For Chrome: Your Portable Chrome Extension

In today’s world, students have a boatload of work on their plate to complete and not enough time in the world to do it all. What if we could somehow help them? Well, that’s my goal today. I’m not a magician, so if you’re expecting your work to be complete with some magic words, you’re looking in the wrong place. I’m just here to make things a little easier for you.

If you’re writing a research paper and reading specific articles as sources, looking up the definition of an unfamiliar can be a really tedious procedure — it no longer has to be! With the simple double-click of the word, your definition will appear before your eyes. The source? “Google Dictionary for Chrome,” the official Google Chrome extension which can be installed on Google Chrome by clicking here.

What does the extension do, exactly? Here’s everything you need to know about Google Dictionary and its core features:

  • Pop-up dictionary when a word is double-clicked which will give you a full definition of the word.
  • The ability to store and view a history of words you’ve previously looked up so you can learn them with practice at a later time.
  • Don’t like double-clicking all the time? Don’t worry! You’ll also have an icon in your toolbar (near your address bar) that will allow you to click it and search for words manually (as shown below).
With the Google Dictionary Toolbar icon, you can search for words manually without having to select already-given words to define. All without ever having to leave the page!
